Conor Stewartson’s journey into the legal profession began at the University of Colorado, where he pursued his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating cum laude in 2013. His academic excellence was further complemented by his active involvement in extracurricular activities, including serving as the Class of 2016 Treasurer and excelling as a member of the Mock Trial National Team. Conor’s commitment to public service was duly recognized with a Pro Bono Distinction.
Driven by his passion for the law, Conor continued his education at the University of Colorado, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 2016. Throughout his legal studies, he consistently stood out as a dedicated student, culminating in his recognition as a Carrigan Cup Mock Trial Finalist in 2015.

Professional Journey

Conor Stewartson’s legal career has been marked by a series of remarkable accomplishments and contributions to the field of law. He commenced his legal practice at the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where he gained invaluable experience handling a wide array of complex cases, including homicides, sex assaults, and organized crime. Conor’s unwavering dedication led him to manage a substantial caseload of 150 to 200 felony cases concurrently, all while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, district attorneys, and judges.
As a Senior Deputy Public Defender, Conor not only excelled in the courtroom but also played a pivotal role in mentoring and training junior attorneys, helping them navigate the challenging transition from misdemeanor cases to serious felony matters. His leadership and commitment to justice left an indelible mark on the office.
In his pursuit of excellence, Conor later joined the esteemed Burnham Law as an Associate Attorney. Here, he showcased his legal acumen by managing complex estate divisions and child custody determinations across the State of Colorado. His courtroom prowess became evident as he secured several “Not Guilty” verdicts for clients facing charges of Attempted Murder and bank robbery. Conor’s colleagues regarded him as the go-to attorney for last-minute, emergency legal matters, a testament to his reliability and expertise.
