Take a ride on the Bustang!
If you are a fan of the Denver Broncos (and we know you are), then a recent collaboration between the team and the Colorado Department of Transportation may be of interest to you. For the upcoming games against the Atlanta Falcons (October 9) and the San Diego Chargers (October 30), a special bus line, Bustang to Broncos, has been created to shuttle fans from Colorado Springs and Fort Collins to Mile High Stadium. The purpose? To reduce drunk driving and help fans get from home to the game and back without having to worry about designated drivers.
The Bustang will arrive at the stadium about 90 minutes before kickoff, so you’ll have plenty of time to get your food, your drinks and participate in all of the pregame shenanigans. After the games are over, you’ll have 30 minutes to get back to the bus.
A round-trip ride on the Bustang will set you back a modest $30 – that’s a serious amount of savings compared to the average cost of a first-time DUI (around $10,270), so if you are planning to drink and cheer on our home team, the Bustang is a great deal.
If you don’t want to take a bus, there are plenty of other options to help you avoid a DUI. Assign a designated driver to your trip who won’t drink, take a taxi or you can call an Uber or Lyft. That way, your post-game victory celebrations happen at home, not in a jail cell.
Our Denver DUI attorneys encourage readers to celebrate the upcoming Broncos victories responsibly.
