Alissa M. Peashka primarily practices workers’ compensation law, as well as civil litigation, in Colorado for Thomas Law Firm. She was admitted to practice in 2011. From 2011 until 2013, she clerked for a state district court judge. Since March 2013, she has practiced workers’ compensation law. However, she has been a legal professional since 2006, when she began working as a legal secretary.
She represents clients’ interests in all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through hearings and appeals. Much of her work also includes interviewing witnesses, analyzing wage and medical records, preparing oral and written motions, preparing evidence and arguments, and negotiating settlements.
Ms. Peashka has focused solely on workers’ compensation law for her entire career as a practicing attorney. Because of this focus, she maintains a deep and commanding understanding of the complex laws surrounding the Colorado workers’ compensation system. For her, workers’ compensation law isn’t just a job – it’s a passion.
When not practicing law, Ms. Peashka enjoys spending time with her husband of nearly 13 years and their dogs (including two Great Danes and an American Bulldog).
